This is where it all begins.
All comedians get their start somewhere, and chances are, it was on a night just like Open Mic. Night.
Open Mic. Night at Comedy etc. II is a weekly showcase of the St. Louis area’a best up-and-coming performers. Each show is a hilarious mix of professionals working on new material, amateur comedians working on their chops, and first-timers being thrown in the pool. And you never know when a nationally-touring headliner will drop by to work out before a concert.
Open Mic Night at Comedy etc. II is presented each Wednesday night at 8:00.
Interested In Performing On Open Mic. Night?
If you’ve always wondered if you had the stuff to be a comedian, Comedy etc. II is happy to give you a shot at comedy glory. Here’s how to sign up to perform on Open Mic. Night.
Starting at 9:00 am Sundays, i will only take e-mail submissions for sign-ups ( info@comedyetc.com ). PLEASE INDICATE HOW MANY GUESTS YOU WILL BE BRINGING IN THE EMAIL. I will then announce on our facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Comedy-etc-II/123160205212 ) on Tuesday Morning, who is being selected. A big factor will be, who brings guests, and also who is serious about comedy, ie writing new material, following club policies, etc. I will also take in consideration the order of which the e-mails are received,and also if someone is brand new.
If you are a visiting comic, you may also call and give the details of your visit to the St. Louis area. The club invites you to come down for Open Mic. Night and sign up on the stand-by list.
Once You Make The List
Performers are required to check in at the front desk 30 minutes before the show starts. If you fail to check in, you will forfeit your spot on the show. Show order will be posted about 15 minutes before the show begins.
First-time performers get four to six minutes. Please stick to your time. You will be given a light, which means you have one minute left, another light will be given, and you should be finished with your set. RESPECT your time and that of the other comics performing.
Please stay out of the staff's way as they are very busy. Stay clear of the aisles and stairways, and do not linger in the bar area.
All comics are expected to stay until the end of the show. Show respect to all the comics and stay and support them.
We ask that you sit with the audience, the same rules apply to comics, as guests, also, you must order from a server and tip them.
Inviting Friends To See Your Show
Comedy etc. II invites you to invite your friends, family and co-workers to see your show. Everyone you invite should call the club to make a reservation. They must be 18 or older to enter.
